The cutting speed difference is substantial

For a woodshop making curved components, a vertical woodworking bandsaw is the relevant starting point. For a fabrication bench regularly cutting tube and bar to length, compare suitable metal saws with the required vise capacity and angle adjustment. A shop doing both may be better served by separate compact machines than by repeatedly changing configurations and cleaning between materials.

Include consumables and maintenance in the decision. Blade tooth pitch should suit the section being cut, and the manual determines the required operating procedures and any lubrication arrangements. Do not assume a coolant system is present or appropriate on every metal saw. The most useful purchase is a documented match between machine, blade, workholding, and material, with clear boundaries for work that belongs on another tool.
